Darryl S Flukes
Darryl S Flukes is Chief Executive of Infratil Energy Australia Pty Ltd (IEA)
with a broad range of experience across the energy sector (including oil, electricity
and gas).
Previously, Darryl was General Manager of Energy Trading at Southern Hydro
in Victoria where he developed many of the trading and risk management techniques
now applied in the “National Electricity Market”. During this time
he spent 4 years as Chairman of the Australia Financial Markets Association
(AFMA) Electricity Committee.
Prior to arriving in Australia, Darryl had a distinguished career in oil trading
with BP and Vitol in the UK. He has an honours degree in Chemical Engineering
from Loughborough University.
Rod Jones
Rod Jones is a founding director and shareholder of Perth Energy and is Chief
Executive of Navitas Ltd (previously IBT Education Ltd), a leading education
provider in Australia and overseas.
Rod is a founder of Perth Institute of Business and Technology, a company established
in 1994 to offer university level programs to international and local students
in association with one of the Western Australian universities. The success
of this educational model led to the establishment of similar colleges in other
capital cities of Australia as well as in Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Kenya, the UK
and Canada. In 2004 the Colleges were amalgamated and listed on the Australian
Stock Exchange as IBT Education Ltd. The company was renamed Navitas Ltd in
2007.
Rod received an honorary doctorate from Edith Cowan University in 2007 for
his contribution to education in Australia and overseas.
Paul Forsyth
Paul Forsyth is Chief Financial Officer of Infratil Energy Australia and Victoria
Electricity, both 100% subsidiaries of Infratil Limited. Paul has had broad
experience in the energy and financial market sectors. More recently, Paul was
the Financial Controller of renewable generator Southern Hydro before its sale
to Australian Gas Light.
Ky Cao
Ky Cao is a founding director and shareholder of Perth Energy and has substantial
experience in the WA energy industry. He was business marketing and energy trading
manager at Western Power Corporation, the previous State owned integrated utility.
Following the set-up of the Electricity Reform Task Force by the WA Government
in 2001-02, Ky joined the ERTF Market Design Working Group, the Market Rules
Development Group and the Electricity Industry Reference Group to assist the
Government with the reform development and implementation programs. He is a
member of the IMO chaired Market Advisory Committee and the CCIWA Energy and
Resources Group.
Ky set up and chaired the Independent Power Advisory Group, which consisted
of major energy companies with interests in WA, to provide the WA Government
with industry input for the reform programs throughout 2001-05.
